National Police Bloodhound Association Training

Public Notice: The National Police Bloodhound Association (NPBA) is holding its annual Spring Seminar in McHenry, Garrett County from April 26 to May 1, marking its 10th year in the area. This law enforcement-only training event brings 60 participants and 20 instructors from across 16 states for 40 hours of intensive Bloodhound man-trailing exercises. Training will occur in various locations, including Oakland, Grantsville, Accident, and the Garrett County Fairgrounds. Residents are advised not to interfere with Bloodhounds while in harness, as they are actively working. Community members are welcome to speak with handlers when dogs are off duty—always with permission.
