Department of Human Resources

The Garrett County Human Resources Department handles all employment activity relating to hiring and termination, employee performance and grievances, HR policies and procedures, compensation, employee and retirement benefits, employee injury reports and workers compensation claims, employee relations, employee wellness, training and development activities for County employees.

The Department directly serves an employee population of nearly 400 working to meet the many needs of our citizens and visitors in full-time, part-time and contractual positions.
