What a fantastic kickoff to a once-in-a-generation celebration!
More than 100 community members joined together at Ace’s Run Restaurant & Pub for the Garrett 250 Birthday Bash: Celebrating America Together Kick-Off Reception, officially launching Garrett County’s commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary.
Sarah Myers, Garrett County Communications Coordinator, introduced the Garrett 250 Commission and shared how this Garrett County Government-led initiative came to life, guided by its mission: “Honoring Garrett County and American history: The diverse people, places, and stories that have shaped the past 250 years.”
Commissioner Paul Edwards spoke about the significance of this historic milestone and the importance of celebrating both our national story and Garrett County’s unique role in it.
Missy Gralish, Garrett 250 Event Director, highlighted the exciting plans for the major Garrett 250 Birthday Bash on July 18 at the Garrett County Fairgrounds, including exhibits, music, family-friendly activities, and a finale drone show that promises to be something truly special.
Karen Myers shared information about sponsorship opportunities and how businesses and organizations can take part in making this celebration a success.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to those working behind the scenes to bring this vision to life. The energy in the room made one thing clear: Garrett County is ready to celebrate.
