Garrett County Government’s Watershed Management Division encourages residents, property owners, and partners to attend “The Deep Creek Watershed: Past, Present and Future,” a free public symposium hosted and coordinated by the Deep Creek Watershed Foundation on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
Sessions will cover: water-quality trends; sediment and shoreline conditions; lake levels; aquatic plants; septic and wastewater topics; funding opportunities; and a status update on the Deep Creek Watershed Management Plan—what’s been accomplished and what’s next. The program includes a panel discussion and audience Q&A with opportunities to share input on priorities and next steps.
A detailed agenda is available on the Deep Creek Watershed Foundation Events page.
