The Garrett County Department of Public Works - Roads Division has announced that culvert installation will be taking place on Sand Flat Road on the date of Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The roadway will be temporarily closed to thru traffic during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The temporary closure will be located between Boy Scout Road and the Welding Rod entrance.
Alternate routes of traffic during the temporary closure will include Route 219 to Route 135 and Route 219 to Glendale Road to Route 495.
