It is with deep sadness that the Department of Emergency Management and Emergency Services announces the death of Samuel Grant, who served as the Director of Garrett County Emergency Management from 2023 to 2025. Sam passed away on May 10th, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Sam was a dedicated leader whose vision and commitment greatly contributed to the growth and success of Garrett County Emergency Management and Garrett County Emergency Services.
Sam will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for his integrity, kindness, and unwavering dedication to service.
