As we continue recognizing National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we’re proud to highlight more of the dedicated professionals who serve as the first, first responders for Garrett County.

Today, we recognize:
Sheena Brenneman
Sheena has been serving as a 911 Specialist since 2020 and currently holds the rank of 911 Specialist II. She is the senior dispatcher on shift, providing leadership through call taking, dispatching, and training of new staff members.
Sheena is nationally certified in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD), Emergency Fire Dispatch (EFD), and Emergency Police Dispatch (EPD), and is a certified Maryland Emergency Medical Dispatcher. Her experience and mentorship are key assets to the team and play a critical role in daily operations. Outside of work Sheena lives on a farm with her husband, daughters, sons.
Tina Yoder
Tina joined our team in 2025 and currently holds the rank of 911 Specialist. She is actively completing her training process and has already successfully obtained her national certifications in EMD, EFD, and EPD, along with her Maryland Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification.
Tina is proud to serve as a 911 Specialist, and her passion for public safety runs in the family—her daughter is a Paramedic with the Division of Emergency Services, and they often work together to ensure the residents and visitors of Garrett County receive the highest level of care. Tina is also and amazing cook and often times cooks for the 911 and EMS staff on duty.
